Bio
Joshua Atkins was raised in Seattle and attended the University of Washington. He studied Classical Guitar Performance, Portuguese, and Community and Environmental Planning, graduating from UW in 2000 with a degree in Community and Environmental Planning and a minor in music.
After college Joshua served for a year in Americorps, working with Habitat for Humanity in Americus, Georgia. Joshua works as a cabinet maker and carpenter.
 Joshua is also a professional musician and played bass in the Seattle indie band, the Plains (now defunct). The Plains have released two albums: “On Earth as it is in Heaven” (10/02), and “The Boy in the Mansuit” (6/06). The art for "The Boy in the Mansuit" was designed by Joshua. While Joshua has had some formal training in drafting and architectural rendering and sketching, he is primarily a self-taught artist.
